Newborn Session

Once a baby is born into this world they tend to grow very fast. The best time frame for photographing newborn babies is within the first 2 weeks of their life. During this time babies are asleep more, and they are more pliable and formable and more used to being put into swaddles and on their tummies. Once they get more than 2 weeks they start to want to stay awake and stretch out more. Which is good for mom but not the best for getting those iconic newborn poses we're all after.

These sessions tend to go a little longer than normal sessions. This allows for everyone to go along with the schedule for baby. We allow much time for mommy and baby to bond, to nurse and to remain comfortable and warm. We want the room to be warm enough for baby and hands must be warm. The setting and environment must be a calm and relaxed setting. This is not the time for apologize and needing to rush. This session quality will all depend on the babies cooperation and everyone else's patience with the process. Done right this can be the most rewarding session ever!
