My name is Gretchen Hunkapiller
I am a stay at home mama living in south western Montana with my sweet little family of four. I homeschool my two children, while pursuing my passions as an entrepenure! I studied photography in school, have been doing photography for many years. My passion is everything families! Newborns, maternity, fresh 48 sessions and even professional headshots! I am your photographer! I can't wait to meet you!

As a small town country girl from central Washington. One of the youngest of 8 siblings. I always had a love for photography, you would always see me with a disposable camera in hand, taking photos of all kinds of things from leaves to sunsets to pictures of my siblings and parents or pet cats dressed up in their gowns that we dressed them in.
Graduated high-school in 2003 and went off to college in Everett for Massage therapy. Graduated there with a license in Massage therapy and aroma therapy. With experience and training trigger point therapy and reflexology. Practiced that for some time, but the love of photography was still always present in my life, so I decided to go to school for Photography.
Went to school for Photography in Spokane at Spokane Falls Community College. Where I got to practice with old cameras and processing film in the dark rooms. Working in studios with lights and backdrops. This is where my love of studio work really begun. From there I started growing my collection of props for infants and family portraits. My sister and fellow photographer opened a studio in Spokane in around 2007 where I would specialize in Newborns and children's growth sessions. I would set up themed photo shoots for my church as well. I've done weddings and engagements and would truly love to get into birth photography.
I allowed myself to get overwhelmed with the oversaturated marketplace and decided to take a seat and follow other pursuits. I have never left the love of my photography and have still taken photos for family and for my children. But I am back and ready to pick up my passion again. I hope you will trust me with your family photo needs and I will do my best to produce something beautiful to suit your needs.
I love to engage with my clients and allow them to have fun and flexible to express themselves at ease. I love to capture the real love and affection from individuals together and I cannot wait to capture your loved ones and present you with moments to treasure for a lifetime!
